Service Changes to 405 and 918 from 6 June 2026
From Saturday 6 June 2026, we're making some timetable changes to Services 405 and 918 to improve connections between Oban, Fort William and Inverness during the summer season.
Working alongside Citylink's Service 919 timetable, these changes will provide more travel opportunities and improved onward connections for customers travelling between Argyll, Lochaber and the Highlands.
What's changing?
Service 919
Citylink Service 919 will provide additional journeys between Oban and Fort William, with onward connections to Inverness.
New daily departures include:
- 06:50 Oban to Fort William and Inverness
- 13:50 Oban to Fort William and Inverness
- 14:05 Fort William to Oban
- 21:00 Fort William to Oban
Service 918
A small number of Service 918 journeys will be adjusted:
- The 11:30 journey from Fort William to Oban will depart earlier than the current timetable.
- The 17:55 journey from Fort William to Oban will be adjusted to improve connections with other services.
- The 15:57 journey from Oban to Fort William will no longer start from Oban High School.
- The 09:30 journey from Oban to Fort William remains unchanged.
There are no route changes.
Schoolday Service Change
The current schoolday Service 918 journey between Oban High School and Duror will transfer to Service 405 from 6 June.
Why are we making these changes?
These timetable updates will:
- Improve connections between Oban, Fort William and Inverness
- Provide additional summer travel opportunities
- Make longer-distance journeys easier and more convenient
